National Orange Day
National Orange Day began on March 24,
1994, in commemoration of SU Founders Day. Alumni from around the world are
asked to show their pride by sporting the color orange on the University’s
anniversary. SU students and others participate in service oriented activities.
Organized by the Traditions Commission and the Office of Alumni Relations, this
day has hopes of being a legacy for years to come.
Forever Orange Week is March
21-25, 2022. It’s when we educate current students on the power of the
Orange network and why it’s important to stay connected to Syracuse University
long after graduation day. We hope you’ll take time to reflect on your own
feelings of connection with Syracuse University!
The highlight of Forever Orange Week is National Orange Day, March 24. It’s the 152nd anniversary of the day Syracuse University was founded on March 24, 1870. Alumni clubs across the country have planned service projects to pay it forward in Syracuse University’s honor.
